The Las Vegas Bowl traditionally features a Big Ten-vs.-Pac 12 matchup, but due to conference realignment and expansion, the Utes were sent to the bowl game for the seventh time in program history as one of the legacy Pac-12 teams.
Nebraska finished the regular season on a two-game skid against Penn State and Iowa. The Cornhuskers will look to TJ Lateef at quarterback once again, as Dylan Raiola remains out for the season with an injury and intends to enter the transfer portal.
The Las Vegas Bowl marks the start of a new era of Utah football, with Morgan Scalley taking over as head coach with Kyle Whittingham now at Michigan. Utah’s offense ranks fifth in the nation in scoring at 40.9 points per game and second in rushing offense at 269.8 rushing yards per game.
